Which of your data do we process? And for what purposes?

We process your personal data for the purpose of your application for an employment relationship, insofar as this is necessary for the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship with us.

This includes your master data, cover letter, CV and other information that you provide to us as part of the application process. This data is processed in order to check your suitability for the position and to carry out the application process.

We carry out analyses in order to improve our service. This includes, among other things, asking you questions in surveys and requesting your feedback. Participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous.

What is the legal basis for this?

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data as part of your application process is:

Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR - initiation of a contractual relationship,

Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR - legal obligation and

Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR - our legitimate interest.

If we would like to continue to store your personal data in order to consider you for future vacancies, we will obtain your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

Who will the data be passed on to?

Your application data will be reviewed by the HR department after we receive your application. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers responsible for the respective open position. The next steps are then agreed. Within the company, only those persons have access to your data who need it for the proper conduct of our application process.

In the event of an on-site appointment, we will forward your personal contact details to our external plant security service. Further details can be found in the privacy policy for visitors.

Otherwise, personal data is processed on our behalf on the basis of contracts in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, in particular by the provider of the applicant management system.

If an employment relationship is established, we may further process the personal data already received for the purposes of the employment relationship, in particular if this is necessary for the performance of the employment relationship or for the exercise or fulfilment of the rights and obligations arising from a law or a collective agreement, a works or service agreement (collective agreement).

The data logged when accessing our website will only be transmitted to third parties if we are obliged to do so by law or by court order (e.g. in the context of criminal prosecution) or if this is necessary to analyse attacks on the infrastructure on which the website is based.

Where is the data processed?

The data is processed exclusively in data centres in the Federal Republic of Germany. Your data will not be transferred to a third country.

How long is the data stored?

Applicants' data will be deleted after 180 days in the event of a rejection. In the event that you have consented to your personal data being stored further, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. The data will be deleted there after two years. If you have been accepted for a position as part of the application process, the data will be transferred from the applicant data system to our personnel information system.

Your rights as a ‘data subject’:

You have the right to information about the personal data we process about you. In the case of a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require proof from you that you are the person you claim to be. Furthermore, you have a right to rectification or erasure or to restriction of processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to do so. In addition, you have the right to object to processing within the scope of the statutory provisions. The same applies to the right to data portability.
